New to St James
Thank you for looking at our website. We are told that we are a friendly Church. We certainly hope that is the case. We would love to meet you either at one of our Sunday services or at a midweek event.
Our Sunday services take place at 8am (a traditional Holy Communion service) and at 10am where people of all ages worship together and children and young people usually leave for their own activities after about 20 minutes.
On a Monday you would be warmly welcome at Baby Space, for parents and caregivers with children under one or at Monday Fellowship where retired people meet to listen to speakers.
On Wednesdays children, young people and their families are welcome to an afternoon of activities after school.
On a Thursday morning ABC (Adults, Babies, Children), an informal and fairly chaotic get-together takes place followed by Creative Chat in the afternoon. This is an opportunity for anyone to come along with their knitting etc and talk over a cup of tea.
On a Friday evening our youth group meets.
Once a month on a Saturday Dad's and their children meet in the Hall. While the men enjoy bacon sandwiches the children play.
Throughout the week house groups meet to study the Bible and pray. Close friendships are often formed.
For more details about any of these activities
please email or phone the Church office or please just come along.
