What is ABC?
A group run by the church for “Adults, Babies and Children” (ABC). It aims to provide a play environment for babies and toddlers where they can run off some energy, and a place where the parents or minder can meet others for a chat and a mug of coffee or tea.
ABC meets on Thursdays 10 to 11.30am. Booking required as places are being limited for the time being. To book a place please go to this QR code link or access booking via

When, Where and How Much?
ABC meets every Thursday in term time, from 10:00am to 11:30am in St. James’ Church Hall.
The cost is £1 per adult, which covers admission and refreshments (tea, coffee, juice and biscuits).
Parking and Access
There is a car park behind the church, which can be reached from Ferndale.
Access to the Church Hall from St.James Road is up a few steps – please ask for help if you need it with your buggy or pram. Alternatively come in through the main door of the church.
Please park buggies in the church – unless you have a baby asleep in it!
Who runs ABC?
ABC is run by members of St.James’ Church who are always happy to talk to anyone who would like to know more about the church and what it provides for families at its Sunday services.
What else does ABC offer?
As well as toys and ride-on trike we have books you can read to your child. Every week there is a craft activity for the children, and regular story-time and singing in church.
