At St James we want Children and Young People to grow in faith in Jesus, enjoy fellowship with others and have fun. We want to see this happen through prayer, Bible teaching, building relationships, putting faith in action and serving our community.

Children's Work Coordinators:  Liz Clark and Carol Edwards

Youth Worker: Anna Wheatley

For more information about any of our groups please get in touch with either the Church Office or Anna.

We run groups for children and young people as part of our Sunday services, spending time looking at the Bible, praying together and playing games.

On Monday we run Baby Space for babies under 1 and their caregivers. Its a place to chat and get to know each other as well as eat cake.

On Wednesday afternoons after school we run Refresh, aimed at children, young people and their families on their way home from school, offering refreshments and a selection of board games outside church (or in the porch on rainy days!). In the evening we have Rooted, a youth group for Yr 6 - 9, where we play games, have hot chocolate and snacks and look at the Bible together.

On Thursday, 10-11.3am, we have ABC, our toddler group. ABC is for children and their caregivers from newborn up to when they start school. This a great opportunity to meet other parents and caregivers and for children to socialise. Please sign up on Eventbrite.

On the second Saturday of the month, we run Who Let the Dads Out for male caregivers and their children under 6.

St James is committed to the Safeguarding Policies of the Church of England. The policies can be viewed on the Rochester Diocesan web-site. The PCC looks at the policies each year at its first meeting. Vanessa Nicholls has been appointed by the PCC to be the safeguarding officer and she can be contacted through the parish office or by email.
